Derby Museums, WAVE/Craftspace and Woodhorn Charitable Trust all use blogs as a way to disseminate up-to-date information about their Happy Museum commissioned projects. Derby Museums’ Tumblr site for example provides a useful archive of information connected to their ‘Re-making the Museum’ project which provides a unique opportunity for local residents to become citizen curators, designers and makers. To learn more about their project, take a look at their blog HERE and also watch the video below.

Woodhorn Charitable Trust meanwhile also utilize blogging as a way to spread the word about their project, ‘Stand Up for Woodhorn – Making a Case for Comedy in Museums’. Over the past few months, Comedian in Residence Seymour Mace has explored the part comedy can play in facilitating meaningful connections between people and their heritage, art and environment. As the project draws to a close, the Stand Up for Woodhorn blog recently documented the public-facing aspects of the project at the Northumberland Miners’ Picnic. You can read more about the project on the blog HERE.

Last but not least, WAVE and Craftspace, who work together at Bilston Craft Gallery on the project, ‘Craftplay: Discovering the World through Creativity in the Early Years’, also use a blog as an archive of activity. Their project involved a programme of creative engagement sessions with early years’ children and their carers working with craft makers to explore creative play and the natural environment – investigating the part craft plays in developing a sustainable future. You can read more about the project on the blog HERE.
